Born of Zanta Pianos’ collaboration with internationally renowned painter Sylvain Tremblay: the ZB200 Painting Notes fuses the art of music with the magic of colour. The unique qualities of this instrument are enhanced by a newly developed design: the colour vibrates following the breath of the sound.
From the beginning, the cobalt blue of the piano had to be, in my eyes, the central element to pay homage to this piano. This blue reminded me of the starry night and the sky when the sun shines at certain times of the day. The link with the family emerged deeply as a fundamental element in the creative process, I wanted to honour it.
I thought of the ‘Pléades’, this cluster of stars that shines like a family; we find it subtly echoed in the top of the piano. The rhythm of music. An artistic gesture, demonstrating the power of music. To achieve this, I had to repeat this movement several times.
Like a pianist practising a performance every day. I glimpsed the lower part of the piano as a response to the upper part. I felt the energy of the light when the piano was open.
Bright colours and artistic gestures then aligned to represent a powerful twilight saturated with solar energy. Giving energy to the pianist to inspire him. Bright colours, with rhythm, in cobalt blue. This piano is a unique work.
